Grade R:

Here, in a caring and encouraging environment, you child will learn:

Grade R focuses on:

Socialisation skills with other children and teachers, tactility through sand and water play, creative play and art activities, outdoor play including jungle gyms, swings and ball play, music, singing, movement and musical instrument activities, language development through story time and rhymes, foundation phonics and number skills. Children are introduced to computer skills, Afrikaans and isiZulu.

School hours are: Mon - Thurs 07h30 to 12h30 and Fri 07h30 to 12h15

Junior Primary: Grade 1 through to Grade 3

During these years, we focus on developing areas of the curriculum relevant to junior primary. In these Grades, learners spend most of their time with their homeroom teacher covering a weekly timetable that includes English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, Mathematics, Natural Science, History and Geography. Children are introduced to homework, testing and day excursions.

School hours are: Mon - Thurs 07h30 to 12h30 and Fri 07h30 to 12h15

Senior Primary: Grade 4 through to Grade 7

Children are introduced to specialist teachers in certain subjects as well as overnight excursions. The weekly timetable includes English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, Mathematics, Natural Science, History and Geography. Additional subjects such as art, drama, computer studies and life skills make up the rest of the syllabus.

School hours are: Mon - Thurs 07h30 to 14h00 and Fri 07h30 to 12h30

Learning, Education and Facilitation (L.E.A.F. Centre)

Our fully equipped support centre and highly trained support staff offer extra assistance to learners where necessary.  This is to make sure that your child is receiving the very best of our care and resources which include a counselling, educational and clinical psychologist. It offers occupational therapy, speech therapy and a resident remedial therapist during school hours.
